لكل شيء اذا فارقته عوض – For everything you leave there is a substitute
و ليس لله ان فارقت من عوض – But if you depart from Allah there is no substitute for him

Imam Ibn Taymiyyah said:
‘The one who is (truly) imprisoned is the one whose heart is imprisoned from Allah and the captivated one is the one whose desires have enslaved him’.
Wabil as Sayyib of Ibn al Qayyim
Any unhappiness comes from forgetting [the Beloved]

فالعاقل إذا رأى من هو أكبر سنا منه تواضع له وقال سبقني الىالإسلام وإذا رأى من هو أصغر سنا تواضع له وقال سبقته بالذنوب
the intelligent one is who is humble in the presence of somebody older than him and says ‘he surpassed me in Islam’ and when he sees somebody younger than him he is humble saying i surpassed him in sins
